“I am a child of Mansfeld”
Martin Luther felt closely connected with the town of Mansfeld all through his life. The family moved from Eisleben to Mansfeld a few months after his birth, where Luther’s father Hans worked as a master of copper smelting. The exhibition in Luther’s parental home shows an insight in the familiy’s everyday life. Outstanding archaeological findings show what meals the Luthers had, what they wore and what toys the future reformer played with as a child.
